On January 6th (Old Style) the Feast of Theophany was celebrated in Thessaloniki and in Athens by a Litany to the water after the Divine Liturgy where the cross was thrown into the water. In Athens Archbishop Makarios lead the service along with Bishops Timothy of Caesarea, Savvas of the Cyclades, and Dorotheos of Rogon. In Thessaloniki the service was lead by Metropolitan Efthymios and Bishops Makarios of Peristera and David of Petra.
